Janice L. Davies Presents Legislative Update on the North Carolina Uniform Power of Attorney Act

July 29, 2017 – Janice L. Davies presents on the North Carolina Uniform Power of Attorney Act at the NCBA Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Annual Meeting in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, as part of the Legislative Update. Ms. Davies is the chair of the sub-committee on the North Carolina Uniform Power of Attorney Act for the Legislative Committee for the NCBA Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section and one of the drafters of the North Carolina Uniform Power of Attorney Act that is effective January 1, 2018. Senate Bill 569 (2017-2018) was ratified by the House and Senate of the North Carolina General Assembly and, thereafter, presented to the Governor on June 29, 2017. Senate Bill 569 was signed by Governor Cooper on July 20, 2017.
